What is powdered chalk? Powdered chalk, specifically used in tailoring and fabric work, is a special marking tool containing powder. It is preferred for drawing temporary lines on fabric and facilitates cutting, sewing, or fitting during the sewing process. Features: Due to its powder content, it leaves a soft and clear mark on the fabric. The marks are not permanent; they can be easily erased or disappear on their own with ironing. Available in various colors (white, yellow, red, blue, etc.), making it easily visible on light or dark-colored fabrics. Applies more smoothly than hard tailor's chalk; its powdery texture does not damage the fabric. Areas of Use: In tailoring: Pattern making, marking seam allowances, pocket, button, dart, and pleat placements. In fabric work: Alignment and measurement determination before cutting.
